Symbio is secluded in the wild, wondrous landscape south of Spanish Town, where an expanse of tropical vegetation and large granite boulders eventually gives way to The Baths’ idyllic white-sand beaches. Offering views of neighbouring islands, its pool is neatly tucked between boulders to mesh with the land. Beside this are an array of lounge and dining areas, their canvas tops rippled by the ever-present breeze, plus banquets, a hammock, colourful pot plants and then a large, fragrant garden dotted with walking paths and soundtracked by birdsong.

And though Symbio sleeps four people – and often hosts only a single, amorous couple – it is far from small. In fact, there are three separate storeys of living space here, beginning with a state-of-the-art gym and an open-air lounge suiting yoga or massages. One floor up, you’ll find an enormous ‘great room’ under airy high ceilings, its colourful Caribbean furnishings present across a living room area, a stylish breakfast bar, a formal dining room and the large, gourmet kitchen.

There’s a spacious bedroom on this level, too, while the humongous master suite occupies all of the top floor, and boasts a king-size bed and a tropical-style outdoor shower. Both bedrooms are ensuite and promise more astounding views. And if your bed seems to mysteriously make itself, that’ll be the complimentary housekeeping service.
